adminGtool Enterprise is based on the Pro-version and features important additional functionalities which provide for the administration of an unlimited number of clients with any number of workstations via Web*. The tool is a fully flexible assistant which can be designed according to the individual company´s needs, for example free Field or Layout-Definition, a modifyable time recording for service contracts or the selection of individual Icons*. Data can be synchronised at the push of a button.
The Web functionality of the solution makes access from any place at any time possible. Data are thus always internally and externally available. Its network-compatibility makes simultaneous usage by many system technicians possible.
Within a company, the assistant can be used to give IT-managers an exact overview of the existing hard- and software structure and to make a thorough controlling possible (e.g. work time, travel times, costs). Investments as well as maintenance costs can be identified for every individual workstation, reports give information about the economic efficiency of the IT- inventory and thus allow for a better planning of future investments.
Tracing occurring problems and managing dates (e.g. write-off dates, licence expiries, due updates or ends of contracts) will lower costs and immediately increase IT- transparency.
Time-controlled tasks serve a better division of routine jobs and can be directly assigned via Outlook. In the Enterprise-Version, automatically generated texts can be replaced by individual assignments.
Passwords and configurations are among a company´s most sensible data. With adminGtool Basic, these data are safely stored and can be accessed at any time by authorized persons. Dependencies on individuals or contractors are thus eliminated.
adminGtool Pro offers standardized print templates which in this version can be adapted according to the needs of the individual company*. The main use of these templates lies of course in the areas of documentation and billing. Yet there also is a second purpose to them: Using these templates will create a consistent vocabulary which at the same time exactly defines services to be provided. They are a guideline for external or internal technicians in writing work reports or invoices. Here, workflows are defined which turn best practices into working standard and strictly define tasks. IT-downtimes are thus minimized and the company profits of increased productivity.
Via Filemaker, data can be ex- and imported and stored as tab-separated text, comma-separated text, SYLK, DBF, HTML, Table XML or other formats. Global pdf-storage is integrated.
As every database-system, this application too only performs satisfactorily if its data are well maintained. Its clear design which is strongly focused on main functions and the generic, bedingte Werteliste make adminGtool Basic an easy-to-maintain application which can be used without very specialized skills. The solution is platform-independent and does not have to be installed. Therefore, it can be alternately used on various computers and operating systems (Windows & OsX). Different types of storage devices (e.g. USB-stick, CD, external harddisk or Netzwerkvolume as well as palm devices or palm-compatible mobile devices). Additional scripts, enlarged export functions as well as an automatic backup complete the features.
